The Book Babes Review: I found The Book Babes very confusing at times. I found all the women Luisa, Sylvie, Ellie, Ava and Laken all selfish in one or another. Some was understandable, some I did not understand. My favorite character out of the bunch was Laken she makes no bones about who she is. Ellie and Ava frustrated me and their lack of working at their marriages. Sylvie as understandable as her fear is, I really wanted to smack her. I get that she wants to protect Gabe, it is very misguided. She needs to let Gabe make his own decisions, he's a grown man for crying out loud. I felt Luisa's loneliness but her feelings for Tom was wrong. She does figure it out, thank goodness. Overall I found The Book Babes a setup for Laken and Michael and something about Sweetgrass. This is an okay story, I hope the next is better. Texas Hope Review: I really enjoyed Texas Hope, at the heart of the story is love, forgiveness and second chances. Fore some reason this story really got to me and I found myself teary eyed many times. In my opinion this story is heart felt. So far I think this is my favorite Gallaghers of Sweetgrass Springs story. I like Ian but sometimes he gets on my nerves with all his hovering. Sometimes Scarlett got on my nerves by not asking for help. It was fun see some old friends from previous stories. I found the story entertaining and enjoyed it. Texas Strong Review: I'm not a bully fan and that is what Tank is, but I also knew there was a story to be told. Tank intrigued me from the moment we met him, I believe it was in Texas Roots but I'm not 100% on that. I loved how Chrissy looked past the surface and saw the man Tank is and what he could be. I appreciated her grit and not giving up on Tank. Yes, Tank did everything he could do to push Chrissy away. I loved being able to see below the surface of Tank. I loved his interaction with Thad and Becky, I found him sweet. Overall I enjoyed Texas Strong and it made me teary eyed. jTexas Sweet Review: Yahoo, we finely get Brenda and Henry's story. We've been dealing with these two for many books. We finely find out what Brenda is hiding and about her past. Brenda has not had a very good history but the fact she was able to grow up to be sweet, I find amazing. Henry kind of gets on my nerves by referring to Brenda as too young all the time. I really wanted to yell at him. Both Henry and Brenda have more in common then you can imagine. I found Henry and Brenda endearing and the fact there is love and forgiveness. I really enjoyed Texas Sweet.

About the author

A letter to Rod Stewart resulting in a Cinderella 16th birthday for her daughter might have been the first step on Texas romance author Jean Brashear’s path to being a New York Times and USAToday bestselling author of more than 50 novels in romance and women’s fiction.
